Residence permit for the restoration of the family

Every foreigner working in Slovakia as a businessman or employee can be reunited with his family. The application is made both at the time of submission of the first residence permit of the guarantor himself, and at any time during the validity period of the residence permit of the main responsible person.

A residence permit for family reunification provides a number of opportunities:

live with family in an EU country;
officially employ the husband/wife 365 days after obtaining a residence permit;
receive financial assistance for minors: 24.5 € per month for each child under 21;
the business guarantor is entitled to a tax bonus of 250 € annually for each child;
make permanent residence for the whole family after five years of continuous stay in the Slovak Republic;
good ecology (parks, forests, green cities, fresh air, mountain resorts and hot springs);
high level of medical care;
loyalty to the children of emigrants in kindergartens and schools;
one of the lowest crime rates in Europe;
sports schools, various types of martial arts and martial arts, circles for the development of talents for children;
excursions for children to European countries, trips to camps and health resorts (partially funded by the state itself);
a lot of prospects for applicants (tuition is free in state higher educational institutions);
multilingualism (languages are studied at a high level and regularly practiced with foreigners).

Relatives who can apply for a residence permit for family reunification:

husband wife;
minor children, as well as dependent children aged 18 to 25 who are unable to take care of themselves for health reasons;
A widowed or dependent parent over 65 years of age.

Application documents (with apostille and translation into Slovak by a sworn translator):

marriage certificate;
birth certificates of all children;
certificates of no criminal record from the country in which family members over 14 years old lived.

Also, for all family members, you must provide:

valid biometric passports;
registration at one address in the SR;
medical insurance;
2 color photos 3.0x3.5 cm each.

The guarantor must have a document confirming the financial security of accommodation - an extract from a personal account from a banking institution (2600 € for each adult, including the inviting one, and 1300 € for each minor).

Please note that all documents submitted must be no older than three months. For registration, the personal presence of relatives applying for a residence permit is required (regardless of age). The application is considered by law within one quarter (90 days).
