In recent years, the popularity of cycling in Slovakia has broken all records. There are about 1,200 km of special cycling routes in the Bratislava Region. They go through forests, lakes and other picturesque corners of nature. At the same time, you can explore not only natural monuments but also historical ones by bicycle. About half a million fans of two-wheeled transport traveled along the Vienna route (Bratislava-Vienna) per year. Two major cycling highways also pass through the Bratislava Region: Eurovelo 6 and 13. For those who dream of organizing an exciting cycling trip, Slovakia has plenty of opportunities.
The authorities plan to further develop the cycling infrastructure. As an investor, the county is preparing projects to create a network of safe cycling paths: a new cycling bridge across the Little Danube, which will connect Korzo Zalesie with Malinov; a cycling tourist connection between Vrakunji in Bratislava, Most pri Bratislava and Zalesie; a cycling route through vineyards from Svaty Jura via Pezinok to Modra.
