Changes in Slovak trains

The Slovakian Railways announced a number of innovations on its routes. For example, bicycle carriages will be installed on trains on the Orava route. Quiet zones and ladies' compartments will be installed in some express trains. They are already available on some express trains on the Bratislava-Košice route and are marked with a special pictogram. Cars with 12 bicycle racks will be installed on four trains running on the Královány-Trstená route. They will operate on weekends and holidays.

The railway company continues to fight against train delays. In the first quarter of 2024, they amounted to about two minutes, which is 21% less than last year. Since mid-February, trains equipped with a modern safety system have been put into operation, which allows for faster travel and reduces the likelihood of delays.
