Minimum age for a driver's license in Slovakia
In Slovakia, the minimum age for obtaining a driving licence depends on the category of vehicle. Different types of vehicles have their own minimum age requirements:

15 years — AM;

16 years — A1, B1;

17 years — B, T;

18 years — A2, BE, C1, C1E;

21 years — C, CE, D1, D1E;

24 years — A, D, DE.
You can obtain a Category B driving licence from the age of 17. However, you cannot drive a car independently until you turn 18. The driver must be accompanied by a person who has held a Category B driving licence for at least 10 years and is officially registered to accompany a minor driver. Once the driver turns 18, this restriction is lifted, and they can drive independently.
