Additional payments for work in Slovakia

Overtime work: An employee may work overtime no more than 8 hours per workweek. No more than 150 hours of overtime per year. More than 150 hours only with consent (maximum 400 hours per year).

Work on weekends: Additional payment for work on Saturdays is set at 50% of the minimum wage per hour, and for work on Sundays - 100% of the minimum wage per hour.

Night work: The bonus for night work is 40% of the minimum hourly wage; if the employee performs hazardous work, it is 50% of the minimum hourly wage.

Work on holidays. The premium for work on holidays is 100% of the employee's average salary.

Vacation. The duration of the vacation must be at least 4 weeks. The vacation of an employee who has reached the age of 33 must be at least 5 weeks. Employees who have not reached this age, but are constantly caring for children, are entitled to a five-week vacation.
